Zeus Industrial Products, a developer and manufacturer of polymer tubing for a variety of industries, is expanding both its Orangeburg headquarters and its operations in Gaston.
The $76 million Gaston expansion, expected to be completed in 2019 around 2 miles from the current facility location, will contain 148,000 square feet of manufacturing space and is expected to create 350 jobs during the next several years.
The $15.9 million Orangeburg expansion will add 64,000 square feet to the existing facility to house engineering, design, manufacturing and production in one centralized location and is expected to create 20 jobs.
Zeus, founded in 1966, makes polymer tubing for industries including the medical, fluid handling and electrical markets.
Initial hiring for positions in both locations is expected to begin in the fourth quarter. Interested applicants can visit the company’s careers page for more information.
The S.C. Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits related to both projects. A $1 million Rural Infrastructure Fund grant was awarded to Calhoun County to assist with the costs of site preparation and building construction at the Gaston expansion.
