Pet treat manufacturer locating facility in Allendale County

Pet treat manufacturer EOC Naturals is locating a new facility in Allendale County in a $3.3 million investment expected to create 76 jobs during the next five years.

EOC Naturals is headquartered in New Hamburg, Ontario and was founded in 1989. It produces a range of products under the Eurocan Pet Products brand and distributes to some of the country’s largest retailers.

“EOC Naturals’ facility in Allendale will allow us to produce North America’s finest pet treats in a location that will enable us to reach our growing markets in the U.S.,” EOC Naturals and Eurocan Pet Products founder and president Mauro Trinchini said in a news release. “We appreciate the support and welcome we have received from Allendale County, SouthernCarolina Alliance and the State of South Carolina.”

The new facility, located at 3405 Fairfax Allendale Highway in Allendale, is expected to begin operations in the second quarter of 2019. Hiring will begin in the first quarter. The company is working with workforce training program readySC to recruit and train employees.

“EOC Naturals will bring good jobs and investment to our county, where we appreciate manufacturing and processing operations,” Allendale County Council chair Bill Robinson said. “The people of Allendale County look forward to welcoming this new company and helping them call Allendale home for their U.S. operations.”
