Current and former S.C. Superintendents of Education Molly Spearman and Inez Tenenbaum will be honored at the Women’s Rights and Empowerment Network (WREN) luncheon next Wednesday, March 8.
Other honorees include Vickie Eslinger, Dr. Bambi Gaddist, Marjorie Hammock, Cynthia Hardy, Rachel Hodges, Moryah Jackson and Minor Shaw.
“We are humbled by the work these honorees have done on behalf of all South Carolinians,” said Ann Warner, executive director of WREN. “Our organization works alongside trailblazing women in education, business, the nonprofit sector, and government every day. The women we have selected for our inaugural WREN luncheon are pioneers in their fields, helping to advance our state and our nation through their tireless efforts to improve the status quo.”
WREN is a South Carolina nonprofit, non-partisan network to advance the health, economic well-being and rights of South Carolina women, girls and families.
The luncheon will be held at the Seibels House and Garden, 1601 Richland St., in Columbia from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by visiting https://www.scwren.org/events/wren-luncheon-bold-change/.
