The foundation also donated the 127-acre Boyd Camp to the waterfowl association in 2018.

The dining hall will be used by Camp Woodie and Camp Leopold, which offer opportunities for S.C. children and families to learn about wildlife heritage and habitat conservation at the Wildlife Education Center in Pinewood.

Currently under construction, the 9,700-square-foot dining hall is expected to be completed in early 2021.

“It’s an honor to be able to give SCWA this new dining hall,” George Bailey, president of the Boyd Foundation, said in a news release. “The facility simply means that more youth and adults in South Carolina learn about the great outdoors and wildlife heritage and conservation.”
