"Life is short, and work consumes a large portion of your time. For maximum fulfillment, invest the time to ensure your career fuels your passions. If not, take action to change it."

— Kristi Eidson

City of birth: Columbia

Education: B.S., marketing, Clemson University; M.A., teaching, University of South Carolina

Your job: Personnel development manager, “culture coach,” Total Comfort Solutions

The best thing about my job: The best part of my job is working in the business and with our people to care for their needs and the needs of others. We recognize that culture is critical to Total Comfort Solutions’ success, so cultivating our unique culture and caring at every level — the individual, peer to peer, company to employee, employee to customer, employee to community, company to community — is my primary focus. And, it’s a blessing to be in this role!

Community involvement: Scale Down Worksite Workgroup member; Midlands Technical College, Batesburg-Leesville Campus, Advisory Board member; BLHS Band Booster Club, first vice president; First Baptist Church Batesburg Worship Committee member; music leader for IDEAL Kids at First Baptist Church of Batesburg.

Something I wish I’d known earlier in my career: I am very thankful for my background because it has shaped me into who I am today. I do, however, wish that I had spent time understanding more about my personal drivers and motivators to determine what I’m truly passionate about. It wasn’t until I made a career change and joined TCS that my career and passions aligned perfectly. And, the end result is a feeling of fulfillment at work.
