Several S.C. businesses and professionals have been honored by the S.C. Chamber of Commerce in four categories.

South Carolina Federal Credit Union received the chamber’s Excellence in Diversity award, which recognizes contributions to diversity and inclusion efforts. The cooperative has more than 165,000 members and 24 offices in markets including Columbia, Charleston, Georgetown, Florence and Spartanburg.

Vantage Point Foundation, a nonprofit which supports post-Sept. 11 veterans in their transition to civilian life, was chosen from a competitive application process to receive the Boeing Veterans Leadership award.

Leslie Norris, senior vice president for human resources and development at South Carolina Federal Credit Union, received the HR Professional of the Year award, while Clarence Wong, talent acquisition manager for Spirax Sarco USA, was named HR Rising Star. The Richland County-based company manufactures products for the control and use of steam and other industrial fluids.

“The Chamber is proud to honor the companies and individuals who have been selected for our awards this year,” Ted Pitts, S.C. Chamber president and CEO, said in a news release. “From prioritizing diversity, to serving our veterans, to managing all aspects of employee relations, these folks understand that success hinges on setting people up to do well. We congratulate South Carolina Federal Credit Union, Vantage Point Foundation, Leslie Norris, and Clarence Wong for being selected and appreciate all the work they do for their companies and communities.”
