Cohn Construction Services announced it relocated its corporate offices to 1556 Main St.
The interior of the building’s second floor was renovated with many of the original building features preserved. The work included exposing the brick walls with modern finishes.
The 31,000-square-foot building located on the corner of Main and Taylor streets is regard by many as another keystone structure in the revitalization of that stretch of Main Street. The building is the former location of the McCrory Store and is diagonally across the intersection from Mast General Store.
The structure was built in 1939, according to county property records, and its iconic 1960 façade was protected by the Bailey Bill tax program.
In 2014, the building was sold for $1,530,000 sold to 1556 M and T LLC, a company affiliated with Cohn Construction.
