Architecture and engineering firm Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood will add another downtown Columbia location to its network of 16 offices throughout the Southeast.

The firm, represented by Colliers International’s Philip Vann, leased 2,650 of square feet at 1219 Wayne St. The company, which recently expanded into Greenville, has an office in the Meridian Building at 1320 Main St., according to its website.

The privately held firm, with more than 375 employees, also has offices in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.

“We were happy to assist Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood in expanding their South Carolina footprint and providing them with the quality space needed for their daily operations,” Vann said in a news release

In other area transactions, NAI Avant senior broker Ben Kelly represented CSRA Steakburger LLC in its purchase of 1.09 acres of land on Killian Road. The buyer will own and operate at Steak n’ Shake restaurant on the property, purchased from Crossings Development LLC for $817,500.
