Commercial real estate firm opens Columbia office

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer has opened a real estate office in Columbia at 1320 Main St., marking its third location in South Carolina.

The commercial real estate firm opened offices in Charleston and Greenville in 2012 and has 13 brokerage professionals and three property management associates in those markets.

Brian J. Young, senior vice president and managing broker of Thalhimer’s Greenville office, will oversee Columbia operations, according to a news release. Spencer Green will serve as vice president of the Columbia office, focusing on office and industrial sales and leasing.

“Thalhimer has been transacting substantial business in the Columbia market for several years,” company president and CEO Lee Warfield said in the release. “It’s the state capital and a thriving market. We are excited to establish a formal presence in Columbia with Spencer Green, who has extensive corporate real estate and transactional experience.”

Green was previously director of Cushman & Wakefield’s logistics and industrial service group in Atlanta.

“I look forward to the opportunity to build on the momentum Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer is already having in the state of South Carolina, and I am excited to bring a new approach and an iconic brand to the commercial real estate industry in Columbia,” Green said.
