United Community Bank leases Main Street office space

United Community Bank has found a home on Main Street.

Temporarily housed in the Meridian Building at 1320 Main St. since entering the Columbia market this summer, United Community Bank has leased 5,193 square feet of office space at 1901 Main St.

The Class A Bank of America office tower in Columbia’s central business district has more than 303,000 square feet of space.

Colliers International South Carolina’s Allen Wilkerson represented the landlord, AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, and Craig Waites represented United Community Bank in the transaction.

“It was important to position them (United Community Bank) in the downtown hub of Columbia surrounded by an energetic business atmosphere,” Waites said in a news release.

In other area transactions:

  • Colliers International’s Chuck Salley, Dave Mathews, Thomas Beard and John Peebles represented the landlord in leasing space to Jushi USA at 10700 Farrow Road in Columbia. The property is part of the Carolinas Industrial Properties portfolio, owned by Reger Holdings LLC, which includes 39 buildings, 5.5 million square feet and 55 tenants across the state. Jushi supplies fiberglass reinforcements and fabrics to the reinforced plastics industry in the U.S. In 2016, the company broke ground on a $300 million manufacturing facility on Bluff Road.
  • Trinity Partners’ Nick Stomski and Roger Winn represented AllSouth Federal Credit Union in the purchase of 1.5 acres at 5506 Platt Springs Road in Lexington. Southern Visions Real Estate represented seller PRW Publishing Corp. The credit union anticipates building a new brank at the location, located near the intersection of Platt Springs Road and South Lake Drive, according to a news release.
  • NAI Columbia has won the leasing assignment of a 154,600-square-foot, Class A office building at 1501 Main St. in Columbia’s central business district. Suites ranging from 4,560 to 20,669 square feet are available on the ground and fourth floors of the building, according to a news release.
