N.C.-based developer acquires Taylor Street office building

Greensboro, N.C.-based developer LDJ Global Strategies has acquired a 65,400-square-foot office building at 500 Taylor St.

The building, at the corner of Huger and Taylor streets, will be leased and managed by CBRE. CBRE’s Aaron Dupree and Marie Dieckmann will lead leasing efforts for 50,000 square feet of available office space, according to a news release from CRBE.

In February, the Greensboro developer acquired a new 200,200-square-foot industrial development within the Pee Dee Touchstone Energy Industrial Park in Florence. CBRE is also managing leasing efforts at that Class A logistics center.

Fire safety company leases space

NAI Columbia’s John Gregory and Alex Johnson represented tenant Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in the lease of 6,980 square feet of flex space at 1307 Marley Drive. The fire protection services company has locations throughout the Southeast.

The building is located off Broad River Road with proximity to Interstate 20.

“Given Columbia’s tight warehouse/flex market, it was difficult to find a space that met Pye Barker’s logistical and geographical needs,” Gregory said in a news release. “Through being diligent and keeping our ear to the ground, we were able to get this deal done.”

Trinity Partners to lease I-77 medical office building

Trinity Partners has been retained by Flagship Healthcare Trust Inc. to handle leasing for a medical office building at 101 Business Park Boulevard.

Roger Winn and Braden Shockley in Trinity’s Columbia office will broker leases in the two-story, 57-375-square-foot Class A office building at the Intestate 77 and Farrow Road interchange. The building, with anchor tenant Prisma Health, was acquired by the Charlotte-based health care real estate investment company in October.

Capital improvements including an upgraded entrance, a new rook and new building HVAC systems are planned, according to a news release from Trinity.

Richland Library opening Lower Richland branch

Richland Library will open its 13th location on Wednesday. A ribbon cutting at the Lower Richland branch, located at 9019 Garners Ferry Road in Hopkins, is set for 2:30 p.m.

The library will feature public computers, collaborative spaces and literacy, social services and workforce development programs.

The ribbon cutting is open to the public. The branch will be open until 6 p.m.
