Biblestore Outlet is opening a second S.C. location in Lexington.

The discount Christian literature store opened a branch in Florence last June. The Lexington store, located at 5140 Sunset Blvd. in Palmetto Plaza, will open Sept. 10, according to a news release.

Biblestore Outlet is a ministry of OM Ships International, a nonprofit organization based in Florence since 2006. Its literature center supplies an ocean-going ship crewed by missionaries from more than 60 nations with Bibles and Christian books for worldwide distribution.

“Our Florence Biblestore has exceeded our expectations and has met a real need in the community for quality books at reduced prices,” John Satterly, managing director for literature, said in the release. “We’re delighted to be expanding within the state.”

The Lexington store has openings for a full-time manager as well as part-time evening and Saturday staff, according to the release. The 2,000-square-foot store will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Biblestore Outlet has more than 5,000 in-store titles, with up to 20,000 available through Biblestore.com, according to the release. Ninety-five percent of the store’s books are $5 or less.
