Cayce’s Parkland Plaza will be home to Charleston-based East Bay Deli’s newest Columbia-area location.

Colliers International South Carolina vice president Rox Pollard and senior brokerage associate Danny Bonds represented the landlord in the lease of 3,200 square feet of space in the plaza to the tenant, represented by Mike Edwards of Wilson Kibler.

“East Bay Deli is a strong addition to Parkland Plaza,” Pollard said in a news release. “They will benefit immensely from the growth and vibrancy of the rapidly changing Cayce/West Columbia riverfront district. The store will be state-of-the-art and offer attractive and comfortable indoor and outdoor dining options. East Bay Deli is a real asset to dining in the central South Carolina region, and we are thrilled to have them in Parkland Plaza.”

Pollard said Food Lion will also be opening in the plaza’s BI-LO space in January. Food Lion bought 62 Bi-Lo and Harveys Supermarket stores last month.

East Bay Deli, which originated in Charleston in 2001, is a New York-style delicatessen with Midlands locations in Irmo, West Columbia, and on Main Street in downtown Columbia.

Parkland Plaza, built in the 1950s and recently renovated, is near the University of South Carolina campus and area riverfront development.
