The Lady Street complex is downtown developer Capitol Places’ sixth joint venture in the Columbia market and eighth with Mashburn, according to the release. Capitol Places has repurposed close to 500,000 square feet of building space and added 50,000 square feet to existing structures in the city’s Main Street area since 1998. That includes more than 375 residential units and around 30 commercial spaces.

“Downtowns are iconic and powerful symbols for our cities,” Jeff Prioreschi, co-founder of Capitol Places, said. “The Main Street district has an important role in economic and social development, and we have been able to help create a critical mass of activities to make Main Street Columbia a 24-hour city. 1321 Lofts will set a new standard for living downtown.”
