Spirit Communications Park will host its first bridal show from 6-9 p.m. Friday, June 16. Brides-to-be can visit with vendors and wedding experts for help in planning their special days.
The event, called “Two Diamonds, One Day,” will be held in the Club Level Lounge at the ballpark.
“The Two Diamonds, One Day event is meant to offer couples an intimate environment to meet Columbia’s amazing wedding professionals,” said Jaime Tamsin, special events director at Spirit Communications Park. “It will also introduce them to Spirit Communications Park as a premier wedding venue for our region.”
The year-old park has already hosted weddings and receptions. Columbia team president John Katz said earlier this season that the park has seven receptions planned for 2017 and eight on the books in 2018.
The event will showcase more than 20 wedding vendors from around Columbia, including photographers, videographers, wedding planners, event planners, florists, wedding cake specialists, ambient music providers and DJs.
“This bridal show will be unlike any other because of the unique, cool atmosphere that only Spirit Communications Park can provide,” said Lee Pitcovich of Something Borrowed. “The view of the field combined with openness of the space creates excitement by itself. When you add the creativity of Columbia’s wedding professionals – you have a real home run.”
The event is free to the public and the first 100 brides-to-be will receive a complimentary glass of champagne.
