Changes afoot at new Columbia Circle K

A new Columbia area Circle K convenience store opened on Friday at 5425 Forest Drive. The 4,968-square-foot location, rebuilt from a store demolished at the same site, will feature fresh foods prepared on site.

The store is one of 42 in the greater Columbia area and the third to offer food options such as pizza, wraps, burritos, croissants and soft-serve ice cream. It will also sell gasoline and diesel fuel and feature an indoor seating area.

The store will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A grand opening event will be held on April 26 with games, giveaways and discounts.

“Our customers expect to have a friendly, consistent and convenient experience when they visit our stores.” Mark Ostoits, vice president of Circle K’s Southeast division, said in a news release. “We’re excited that this rebuilt location will now provide customers with better-for-you options like fresh fruit, Made To Go sandwiches and gourmet espresso-based Simply Great Coffee beverages.”
