Five Points consignment shop Revente Luxury Resale is celebrating its 30th anniversary this weekend.

The shop, located at 737 Saluda Ave., plans an anniversary gathering this afternoon featuring Columbia Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, representatives from the city’s Economic Development Office and store owner Heather Craig Burns. In addition, a weekend sale will feature 15% off all regular-priced items in store and online.

Revente opened May 1, 1992.

“Five Points is truly lucky to have such tenured retailers like Revente Luxury Resale,” Katy Renfroe, association manager of the Five Points Association, said in a news release. “Having retailers stick around for this long, and longer, keeps our credibility intact of a thriving, viable business district in Columbia. We are happy to celebrate with them on the success of their store and look forward to many more years to come.”

Founded in 1992 by Debbie McDaniel, the consignment rebranded to Revente Luxury Resale when long-time employee Burns purchased the shop in January 2016. The shop specializes in high-end boutique and designer items including clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry and accessories.

“The past 30 years have been full of so many adventures, milestones and good times,” said Burns, who began working at the shop in 2001. “I look forward to seeing what the next chapter has in store for us!”
