Global Imaging Systems, a Xerox company, has acquired G-Five Inc., a Carolinas-based office equipment and print services provider. G-Five’s locations, which include Greenville and Charlotte, will become satellite sales offices to Carolina Office Systems, a GIS company covering Columbia and Charleston along with Raleigh, N.C. and Greensboro, N.C.
The acquisition represents GIS’ third technology dealer purchase in 2017.
“The addition of G-Five expands Xerox’s footprint into new markets in the Carolinas, providing access to the new customers and revenue streams,” said Michael Pietrunti, GIS senior vice president of acquisitions, in a news release. “The combination of Xerox technology and services in the hands of a very dynamic team of G-Five employees will deliver many new customer engagement opportunities.”
GIS consists of regional core companies in the U.S. that sell and service document management systems, network integration services and electronic presentation systems. Xerox acquired GIS in 2007 and operates it as a wholly owned North American subsidiary.
