The Fireflies have teamed up with local high school baseball programs to compete in a series of games at Columbia’s Segra Park in March and April.

The first in the series — a doubleheader on Saturday, March 9 — will feature Wren vs. Lexington and Mauldin vs. Blythewood.

“We are excited to have the chance to bring these schools to Segra Park,” John Katz, Fireflies team president, said in a news release. “It’s a great opportunity to share Segra Park with the community in this way. We are excited to start baseball season early this year.”

The gates for each of the seven scheduled games open 30 minutes before the first pitch and tickets are available at the Fireflies ticket office or at the gates on gameday.

Saturday, March 9 at 4 p.m.: Wren vs Lexington
Saturday, March 9 at 6:30 p.m.: Mauldin vs Blythewood
Monday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m.: Irmo vs Spring Valley
Thursday, March 14 at 6:30 p.m.: North Augusta vs River Bluff
