Proposed county map amendments subject of March 23 meeting

Richland County Council will hold an online hearing addressing proposed map amendments on March 23.  

Amendments to seven parcels of land will be discussed, five of which have received a recommendation of approval from county planning commission staff.  

The request agenda is available online at www.richlandcountysc.gov on the county council webpage.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and stream live on the county’s YouTube page at www.youtube.com/user/richlandonline/videos.

Residents can comment on agenda items via email at planningcommission@richlandcountysc.gov or by mailing Richland County Community Planning and Development, Planning and Development Services, 2020 Hampton St., Columbia, S.C., 29204. Comments must be received by noon March 22 and will be read during the meeting with their corresponding agenda item.

Rezoning requests must pass three readings by a majority vote to be enacted.
