Richland County residents can dispose of household and hazardous materials at a daylong recycling event on Saturday at the S.C. State Fairgrounds.
The free, annual event will take place from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Residents can enter the fairgrounds through Gate 12.
Last year, nearly 1,300 vehicles dropped off more than 67 tons of recyclable and hazardous materials, including 70,000 pounds of electronics, 14,000 pounds of scrap material and 9,800 pounds of tires.
