Richland Library expanding service hours

Listen to this articleRichland Library is adding evening hours and eliminating the midday daily closure from its service schedule.
The library will be open from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday at its Ballentine, Blythewood, Cooper, Eastover, Edgewood, Main, North Main, Sandhills, Southeast and St. Andrews branches. The Lower Richland and Wheatley locations will be open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
The library is also reopening the garden level at its main branch at 1431 Assembly St., which includes the children’s room and teen center.
All library branches will be closed May 31 in observance of Memorial Day.
