People who want to learn to write code can learn to do so for free through a program offered by Richland Library.
SC Codes Midlands will be held June 18 from noon until 1 p.m. at the main library branch at 1431 Assembly St. in Columbia.
Students, educators, tutors, programmers, and business owners are encouraged to attend. The program is designed to provide S.C. residents with the education and resources necessary for careers in technology.
An additional information session will be held from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on June 18 at the library for prospective students to meet local mentors and sign up for the free training.
SC Codes is a statewide collaboration involving the S.C. Department of Commerce Office of Innovation and Build Carolina announced in April.
