The Richland Library Friends and Foundation is gearing up for its annual summer book sale.

There will be two opportunities to peruse more than 30,000 gently used books, CDs and DVDs at the Richland Library Operations Center, located at 130 Lancewood Road. A private sale will be held on July 19 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., while a public sale is set for July 20 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

A minimum yearly donation of $25 to the foundation is required to attend the private sale. Donations can be made online or at the door.

Paperbacks start at $1, while hard covers start at $2. Materials are available in all genres for adults, teens and children.

The foundation holds four books sales a year, in the winter, spring, summer and fall. The events combine to raise more than $60,000 annually to support the library, according to a news release.

The organization is accepting donations for upcoming book sales.
