Colliers South Carolina’s Matthew Pollard represented HHP Law Group in the purchase of a 5,000-square-foot building at 2020 Assembly St. in Columbia.
“HHP Law Group needed more space and was looking to relocate while staying within the downtown Columbia area,” Pollard said in a news release. “Despite limited downtown inventory, we successfully identified a building that aligns with its growth trajectory and is convenient to the interstate yet still downtown.”
HHP is currently renovating the building. Hillman Design Build is the general contractor and Davis Architecture is the architect.
HHP Law Group specializes in civil litigation with a primary focus on handling severe personal injury claims, including medical malpractice, wrongful death and other catastrophic claims. Additionally, HHP litigates wrongful or bad-faith denial of insurance claims and business disputes.
Pollard is a senior brokerage associate at Colliers specializing in health care and office property leasing and sales on behalf of tenants and purchasers.

Other recent commercial real estate deals include one by Trinity Partners Columbia, which facilitated the sale of 3020 Bluff Road in Columbia.

The 15,000-square-foot refrigerated, cross-dock facility is on 3.5 acres in southeast Columbia. Nick Stomski, Jake Nidiffer and Ryan Causey represented the seller, New Dairy SC, in the transaction. The new owner engaged Nick Stomski to represent the buyer on negotiating a lease with a prospective tenant.

Ben Brantley of CBRE represented the tenant. Building improvements are underway as the new owner, a local investor, plans to improve the property and rehab the building for a new industrial tenant.


Nick Stomski, Jake Nidiffer and Ryan Causey of Trinity Partners represented the landlord in the leasing of 1.5 acres at 1725 Pineview Drive in Columbia.


Braden Shockley and Roger Winn of Trinity Partners represented the landlord in leasing a 2,123-square-foot retail space at 102 W. Main St. in Lexington.


Chuck Salley, Dave Mathews, Thomas Beard and John Peebles of Colliers South Carolina represented Weston Inc. in the lease expansion for Sebang Global Battery NA LLC of 24,500 square feet for a total footprint of 49,000 square feet at 1020 Idlewilde Boulevard in Columbia.


Mary Winter Teaster of Colliers South Carolina represented Wag-N-Train Kennel LLC in the sale of an 8,426-square-foot kennel structure on 2.49 acres at 178 Greenbriar Drive in Irmo to Suttons Southern Pet Retreat LLC for $1,250,000.


Tommy Johnson of Colliers South Carolina represented TYJ LLC in the sale of a 5,500-square-foot office building at 241 Business Park Boulevard in Columbia to EAS Professionals Inc.


Allen Wilkerson and Henry Roe of Colliers South Carolina represented BV DRP Synergy LLC in the lease expansion of 5,176 square feet of office space at 121 Executive Center Drive in Columbia to The Dial Firm LLC.
