Local marketing agency opens applications for pro bono services to Lowcountry nonprofits

Mount Pleasant, SC – Trio Solutions Inc. (TRIO), a Mount Pleasant-based marketing communications agency, will work for 24 hours to provide free advertising and marketing services to Lowcountry nonprofits during its 17th annual CreateAthon on Oct. 26-27, 2023.

CreateAthon is a 24-hour creative marathon started by Riggs Partners in Columbia 25 years ago. TRIO joined the efforts in 2007 as the Lowcountry’s exclusive agency and has since supported over 70 nonprofits by providing more than half a million dollars in pro bono services.

TRIO will be accepting applications from Lowcountry-based nonprofits from Monday, June 26, through Sunday, July 30, at 5 p.m. Applicants must fill out a written form and are encouraged to submit a 60-second video on why their organization should be selected. Applications can be found at trio-solutions.com/createathon.

“As CreateAthon recipients, we were extremely grateful to receive a suite of professional creative marketing materials, including a logo design, press release and social media content,” shared Dorothea Bernique, Increasing H.O.P.E’s executive director. “TRIO’s partnership was crucial for the successful branding and launch of our “Motivate Her SC” inaugural women’s business center conference.”

Four nonprofits will be selected to participate in TRIO’s 2023 CreateAthon, plus an additional “People’s Choice” organization, which will be chosen through a voting process on TRIO’s social media channels beginning Aug. 21 through Aug. 27 at 8 p.m. All CreateAthon recipients will be announced on Aug. 28.

CreateAthon 2023 participants will receive a variety of services, including marketing and fundraising plans, logos, websites, postcards, banners, brand identity packages, website assessments and social media plans. Project scopes will vary based on the capacity of the TRIO team as well as the specific needs of the organizations.
