Operation Sight and East Bay Deli Team Up for World Sight Day to Transform Lives

Columbia, SC – Operation Sight, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free surgical care to uninsured South Carolina residents suffering from cataracts or urgent, sight-threatening retina disorders, is thrilled to announce a special partnership with East Bay Deli on World Sight Day, October 12th. This collaborative event will take place from 4pm until closing time at all 11 East Bay Deli locations across South Carolina.

World Sight Day is a global initiative that focuses on raising awareness about blindness and vision impairment while promoting the importance of good eye health. Operation Sight and East Bay Deli have come together to celebrate this day and make a meaningful impact on the lives of South Carolina residents in need.

The event promises an evening of delicious dining and giving back to the community. By simply enjoying dinner at any of the participating East Bay Deli locations listed below, customers will contribute to the cause as 10% of all sales during the event hours will be generously donated to Operation Sight.

Participating East Bay Deli Locations:
Midlands: Downtown Columbia, Irmo, North Columbia, Cayce, West Columbia
Lowcountry: Downtown Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, Dorchester Rd, University Blvd, Summerville, West Ashley

The funds raised from this event will help Operation Sight continue its mission to provide life-changing surgeries for those in need. With 750+ sight-saving surgeries already performed for South Carolina residents, Operation Sight has made a significant impact on the community. Notably, 97% of patients who lost their jobs due to vision-related issues were able to re-enter the workforce after receiving surgery, highlighting the transformative power of this initiative.
