South Carolina has 135 tracts in each of its 46 counties designated as opportunity zones in the national community investment program established by Congress in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 that aims to infuse private capital into low-income areas across the country.
The summit will be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, with registration opening at 8:30 a.m. The event is being held in partnership with the office of U.S. Sen. Tim Scott and the Council of Development Finance Agencies.
