A history-centered tourism trail launched by Experience Columbia SC and Historic Columbia will take participants on a journey featuring eight pivotal locations and 10 trailblazers of the post-Civil War period.
Fireflies to begin 2021 season with Segra Park at half capacity
All tickets will be digital, issued by email and printable or scannable on cell phones, the team said. Segra Park will also become a cashless facility in 2021, with major credit cards accepted at concession stands and parking lots.
Trampoline park celebrating grand opening this weekend
Altitude Trampoline Park will celebrate its first S.C. location, at 7541 Garners Ferry Road, on Saturday. The 55,000-square-foot facility also features mini golf, dodgeball and an escape room.

Fireflies to open 2021 season on May 4 at Augusta
The team will open its home season on May 11 with a six-game series against Charleston. In 2021, all series will be six games in an effort to limit travel. The Fireflies are now a Class A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.

Palmetto Sportsmen’s Classic canceled for 2nd year
The annual event, which was to be held March 26-28 at the S.C. State Fairgrounds, was canceled because of COVID-19 concerns. The 2022 event is scheduled for March 25-27.
South Carolina Chef Ambassadors to serve second year
The four chefs selected to represent the state in 2020 will serve a second year in those roles. The Chef Ambassador program was established in 2014 to promote the state as a culinary destination.
Arrested Development to headline Famously Hot New Year
The two-time Grammy-winning group will perform a free virtual concert on New Year's Eve as part of the 2020 event, which will also feature appearances by Sister Hazel and Hootie & the Blowfish.
Fireflies to become Kansas City affiliate
The Columbia Fireflies will remain affiliated with Major League Baseball for at least the next 10 years as part of a new relationship with the Royals. The Fireflies are one of 120 minor league teams that will have MLB affiliation.
