Maine BBQ Company Moves to Columbia

Columbia, SC: Bub ‘n Mutha’s, Inc, is formally announcing their relocation from Maine to South Carolina. On Thursday Feb. 16th at 11 am there will be a formal ribbon cutting with Councilwoman McBride speaking and area business people in attendance. There will be a BBQ tasting after the cutting. In addition to their award-winning original flavors – DownEast Dinnah Dust (pronounced DINN-uh) and Honey ‘n Heat, they are bringing 4 new flavors to the opening in Columbia. Those flavors include:

· CHIXX Dig It – Poultry Powder

· Sonofa Brisket – Beef rub

· Hog Heaven – The perfect pig powder

· Johnny Bravo – An all-purpose rub to honor all Veterans. 100% of the profits go to Veteran Charities.

Founder, John Fuhrman, states, “We’re very excited to becoming part of the Columbia community and serving the nation from our new facility. Being close to those currently serving this country and a large Veteran presence, Bub ‘n Mutha’s will continue to support both the active duty and Veteran community.” The company is Veteran owned and with this move will be striving to hire area Veterans in the coming year. We have already found a Veteran owned coffee roaster right here in the area. So, we’ll also be supporting area business and Veterans alike.

In the coming weeks, Bub ‘n Mutha’s will be sponsoring a team of Veterans at the DOKO Ribfest with Founder, John Fuhrman, a Navy Veteran, cooking and teaching. And this May, Bub ‘n Mutha’s will be a sponsor at the South Carolina High School Rodeo in Camden.

Fuhrman states that after 6 months of searching various states and regions, the company chose Columbia to be the new headquarters. “We have a large university, the right population, so many activities and places for us to get out and meet the people, how could we be any less than excited.
