Georgia-based Queensborough National Bank and Trust Company opened its first location in South Carolina Thursday in downtown Columbia. The office, located at 522 Lady St. in the Congaree Vista, District will provide commercial lending services.
Queensborough officials from around Georgia joined with representatives from the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and other members of the business community to celebrate the new expansion.
Jordan Goetzman, vice president and commercial lender with Queensborough, will lead the bank’s Columbia office. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and has 20 years of experience in strategic sales, account management and business development, according to a bio provided by Queensborough.
“Jordan’s strong work ethic and community engagement make him a great addition to the Queensborough team,” said Tillman Sauls, senior vice president and commercial region manager at Queensborough. “As we begin our relationship with the Columbia community, I am confident Jordan is the right person to lead this endeavor. His values and talents align with Queensborough’s core values.”
Founded in 1902, the bank is headquartered in Louisville, Ga. and has 27 locations around the state, mostly in Augusta and the Savannah area.
William Easterlin, bank president and CEO, said he looks forward to building relationships with businesses in Columbia, and also hopes to offer a more personal experience to customers.
“We like to say that Queensborough is big enough to handle all the general needs of businesses and small enough to get all of your questions answered quickly,” Easterlin said.
Queensborough was named Best Small Bank in Georgia for 2021 by Newsweek.
