Sidewalk installation beginning on Polo Road project

The 1.7-mile stretch in Northeast Columbia from Mallett Hill Road to Alpine Road will provide a 10-foot-wide sidewalk for walking, running and bicycling.
Richland County Transportation Department crews began paving in May at Mallet Hill Road, and sections of sidewalk installations will take place this week in front of the Polo Road soccer complex, according to a news release from Richland County.
The project is about 30% complete, the county said. It is slated to be finished in early 2021.
