Hailey named EdVenture CEO

Lisa W. Hailey, former interim president and CEO of the Children’s Museum of Richmond, has been named president and CEO of EdVenture Children’s Museum.

Hailey joined EdVenture in April 2017 as chief operating officer and has served as interim president and CEO since Karen Coltrane resigned in July 2018. Coltrane, EdVenture CEO since 2015, left to become CEO for the Leadership Center for Excellence in Arlington, Va.

Before coming to Edventure, Hailey also served as CFO, chief operating officer and director of marketing during 11 years at the Richmond museum.  

“We sincerely appreciate Lisa’s hard work and dedication since joining EdVenture,” James Becker, chairman of the EdVenture board of trustees, said in a news release. “She has gained the confidence and full support of the board and staff, and we share her vision of what EdVenture can become in the future.”

EdVenture, celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2019, is a nonprofit education institution with museum locations in Columbia, Myrtle Beach and Hartsville.
