Cantina 76 expanding Main Street location

Listen to this articleCantina 76 is expanding its 1301 Main St. location by more than 1,600 square feet by renting the neighboring property.
The expansion of the location at the corner of Main and Lady Streets will double the size of the bar and allow for as many as 30 more indoor seats, increasing overall restaurant capacity to 110 people and allowing private events to be held, according to a news release.
The expansion also includes a designated carryout pickup area, space for a community table, an additional restroom and windows that can be opened onto Main Street.
The expansion is expected to be completed in spring 2020. Columbia-area interior designer Christy Davis Interiors designed the expanded space.
Cantina 76, an independently owned restaurant and bar specializing in Mexican-inspired food, has locations in Columbia, Greenville, Kiawah Island and Mount Pleasant. Its original location at 2901 Devine St. was founded in 2009.
