Fireflies to honor local first responders

Listen to this articleColumbia Fireflies fans can nominate first responders for in-game recognition on Thursday.
Eight local first responders will be honored during the Fireflies’ 7:05 p.m. game at Segra Park. Nominations can be made online, with those selected contacted by a Fireflies representative.
Any EMS worker, firefighter or police officer can be nominated. Nominators should include a photo and a short bio.
Honorees will receive two tickets to Thursday’s game, according to a news release from the Fireflies.
Frontline workers and teachers will be honored later in the season, the team said.
