The Congaree Vista Guild’s 36th annual Vista Lights celebration is returning to its full format after adjustments necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

The holiday event will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Nov. 18 in the Vista, with businesses opening their doors for dining and shopping. Local groups will perform on the main stage near the corner of Gervais and Lincoln streets beginning at 6:15 p.m., with the Vista tree lighting taking place at 7 p.m.

Following the tree lighting, Prettier Than Matt and the Soda City Brass Band will perform.

Santa Claus will be on site at the kid’s area on Lincoln Street from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., while the Carillon Carolers will stroll through the Vista entertaining visitors with traditional holiday favorites.

Gervais Street will be closed from Assembly to Gadsden streets, as will Park Street and Lincoln Street from Lady to Senate.
