Nanomaterials manufacturer investing $14.7M in Chester County

Nanomaterials manufacturer ShayoNano USA Inc. is investing $14.7 million in a new manufacturing plant in Chester County expected to create 40 jobs.

The international company, which has U.S. headquarters in Stafford, Texas, manufactures nanomaterials used in products such as paints, coatings and flame retardants.

“We are extremely optimistic about our future and delighted at the prospect of starting this new chapter of the company’s history in Chester,” company CEO Mahesh Patel said in a news release.

ShayoNano’s 23,000-square-foot facility will be located at 564 Ecology Lane in Chester and is projected to begin operations in the first quarter of 2019, with manufacturing production expected to follow in the fourth quarter.
