Columbia’s Erinn Rowe, Bank of America assistant vice president and a treasury sales analyst, will serve as the first female board chair for Harvest Hope Food Bank. Rowe has been on the board of Harvest Hope, a nonprofit serving 20 S.C. counties, since 2016.

“Erinn’s financial background and passion for helping people in need make her a phenomenal fit for leading our Harvest Hope board,” past chair Davis Bourne said in a news release. “What’s more, we recognize this election comes on the eve of International Women’s Day, which our country has celebrated for more than 100 years.”

Harvest Hope, which operates out of locations in Columbia, Florence and Greenville, provided more than 22 million meals and 27 million pounds of food in 2018.

Three new members joined the Harvest Hope board: Catherine Brazell of Bank of America, Jada Willis of Willis HR and Sam Johnson of Nexsen Pruet. Harvest Hope also elected new executive committee members, including:

  • Denise Whittington, retired, vice chair
  • John Welsh, First Citizens Bank, treasurer
  • Mark Bokesch, Bokesch & Tipton LLC, secretary
  • Rush Smith, Nelson Mullins, Riley & Scarborough, governance
  • Gary Jones, Hawthorne Pharmacy, audit
  • Rhonda Mauldin, Food Lion, governance
