Fresenius Medical Care to open area dialysis clinic

Fresenius Medical Care, a company specializing in the production of medical supplies primarily related to renal dialysis, will open a new Columbia location on Dawson Road.

NAI Avant facilitated the sale of 3.22 acres of land to Ophion LLC for $335,000. The seller was Atrium Development Inc.

Fresenius will construct a medical building on the site and open a dialysis clinic at the location, according to a news release.

In other area transactions:

• The Hertz Corp. leased a 3,809-square-foot retail building at 561 Jamil Road from High Line Imports Inc. NAI Avant broker John Gregory represented the tenant. The building will house a Hertz Car Sales, which handles rental car transactions and sales.
• Lizards Thicket will continue to occupy 5,600 square feet of retail space in the Village at Blythewood. NAI Avant broker Laura Kovacich represented landlord Blythewood Concepts LLC & Bishopville DG LLC in the transaction.

• Colliers International broker Allen Wilkerson represented AgFirst Farm Credit Bank in the lease of office space at 1901 Main St. to the Federal Court of Appeals.
• Marty Van Sant, doing business as Van Sant and Associates, leased office space at 1022 State St. in Cayce from Tim and Sarah Jur. Colliers’ Mary Winter Teaster represented the landlords.
• A 57,000-square-foot industrial property at 3168 Charleston Highway in West Columbia sold to 3168 Hwy LLC. Colliers agents Dave Mathews and Thomas Beard represented the seller, Foster North Co. LLC.
