A new Food Lion grocery store is opening in Aiken County on Wednesday.

The Salisbury, N.C.-based grocer is opening a store at 2587 Jefferson Davis Highway in Warrenville. The store will be open daily from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m.

“I’m extremely excited to open this new store in my local community,” Brian Kelly, store manager and Food Lion associate for 19 years, said in a news release. “I’m proud to welcome my neighbors and family to shop with us and experience our expansive assortment and variety throughout our store. I look forward to seeing new faces, welcoming old friends and serving my community at our new location.”

In addition to Food Lion’s Nature’s Promise-brand pork, poultry, milk and water, the location will offer fresh produce from Titan Farms in Ridge Spring, popcorn and other products from Columbia-based Cromer’s P-Nuts and craft beers from area breweries.

Earlier this week, Kelly and other local Food Lion employees delivered lunch bags and snacks to area fire departments and schools including the Midland Valley Fire Department, Mid Valley High School and Aiken Technical College. The company is also donating $2,500 to the food pantry at Warrenville’s Full Gospel Redemption Center through its hunger relief platform, Food Lion Feeds.

Food Lion has more than 1,100 stores in 10 southeastern and mid-Atlantic states, employing more than 82,000 workers.
