California-based specialty fitness company XPonential Fitness is opening its fourth location in Forest Acres.

YogaSix, a franchised yoga brand, will be coming to a location off Forest Drive in the spring. Colliers South Carolina’s Rox Pollard, Danny Bons and John Gressette represented The Beach Company in the lease of 1,920 square feet of retail in the Cardinal Crossing mixed use development to YogaSix.

YogaSix offers a broad range of heated and non-heated yoga classes, strength-building fitness classes and meditation accessible to people with all levels of expertise, according to a news release. SACON Construction is the general contractor for the YogaSix project.

Columbia resident Shay Lansche is the franchise owner of the YogaSix location. She visited a YogaSix studio in California last summer and had such a good experience that she decided to bring it to the Midlands.

"I have been a consumer of boutique fitness for many years. I never thought I would open my own business, but I loved the concept so much that I wanted to bring it home,” Lansche told SC Biz News. “I was drawn to it because I was new to yoga and this offered a much different experience than you might find in other places. There is a sense of community in the studio. It is not at all intimidating and the instruction methodology is easy to follow. Beginners can feel comfortable as well as those who are very experienced in yoga.”

Cardinal Crossing is also home to three other Xponential businesses: Cycle Bar, Club Pilates and Stretch Lab.

XPonential Fitness offers franchise-based boutique fitness and has locations in 48 states and Canada as well as 12 countries overseas.
