A popular store on Forest Drive in Columbia has changed hands.
Sunbelt Business Brokers, a leading mergers and acquisitions adviser for privately held businesses, recently handled the sale of Four Morganelli’s Inc., dba Morganelli’s Party Store, a Columbia destination for beer, wine, and liquor for more than 50 years, to JJP Lions Wine and Spirits, Inc., according to a news release.
Morganelli’s Party Store is located at 3155 Forest Drive in Columbia.
John and Brenda Morganelli, who have operated the store since 1973, have built a loyal customer base over the years by offering high-quality products, excellent customer service, and a wide selection of brands.
"We are proud of the legacy we have built and are grateful for the support of our customers, employees, and suppliers," John Morganelli said in a recent release. "After careful consideration, we have decided that now is the right time to transition the business to new ownership."
Sherry Morganelli, their daughter and a 25-year veteran of the business, will remain onboard to facilitate a seamless transition.
John and Justine Idouchi are the new owners of Morganelli’s.

David Yezbak, a business broker with over 20 years of experience in the industry, facilitated the transaction through Sunbelt Business Brokers.
