The International Propeller Club of the United States 97th Annual Convention will take place September 26 – 28, 2023, having previously been held in Athens, Greece in 2022.

CHARLESTON, SC – The Propeller Club of Charleston is proud to have an international audience of approximately 200 that will be attending this year’s conference. This very prestigious conference is being held at The Francis Marion Hotel in downtown Charleston. This year’s theme is “Propelling Tomorrow with Innovation Today.”

The 3-day conference will start with a Golf Tournament to welcome attendees to the city on September 25, 2023 at Patriots Point Links. For attendees who do not golf, the main conference will start on September 26, 2023. Keynote speakers include Byron Miller, Chief Commercial Officer with the South Carolina Ports Authority; Vice Admiral Peter Gautier, USCG Deputy Commandant for Operations; and Jennifer Hedrick the President & CEO of Women in Trucking Association. Panel discussions will be held each day and include topics such as Offshore Wind Energy, Alternative Fuels for the Maritime Industry, Women in Transportation and Hot Topics in Cyber Security. Special guests and legislators are still confirming.

In addition to great educational opportunities, this conference encourages attendees to bring a guest to enjoy the Lowcountry charm of our southern city. Guest activities have been privately reserved and are exclusive to the conference group. The evenings will be filled with networking events such as the President’s Welcome Reception, A Port Tour followed by an evening on the USS Yorktown and the final night Gala on September 28th.
