County council votes to halt Richland Renaissance

Study ranks return on property taxes
Allendale County leads S.C. in return on property taxes, according to a recent survey by financial technology company SmartAsset. The study ranked county schools and crime rates to determine a property tax value index.
RIA approves 23 grants worth $10M
The S.C. Rural Infrastructure Authority approved 23 grants totaling more than $10 million for projects aimed at improving quality of life and community sustainability. More than 51 projects have been approved this year.
