Forensic Accountant and Expert Witness Tracy Amos Joins Bauknight Pietras & Stormer, CPAs

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Bauknight Pietras & Stormer, P.A. (BPS) today announced that Tracy Amos, CPA, CVA, has joined the firm, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the specialized areas of forensic audits; business, retirement, and profit-sharing valuations; and expert witness testimony in family law litigation cases. She joins BPS as a senior manager and will support clients across the firm, including in trust and estate, personal and business matters.

Amos is recognized as a qualified forensic financial expert witness for the South Carolina Circuit Courts, South Carolina Family Courts and South Carolina Courts of Equity. She has represented clients from across the state in depositions, trials and arbitrations. Her expertise spans business, retirement and profit-sharing valuations; forensic discovery; analysis of income, standard of living, tax, and equitable distribution of assets.

Russell Bauknight, managing shareholder of BPS, commented that Amos’ hiring expands the firm’s expertise in a highly specialized area of financial accounting. “I have personally known and respected Tracy for many years for her knowledge and demeanor while serving as a forensic financial expert in family law litigation. Prior to joining BPS, Amos was the principal with McKay and Amos, LLC, in Columbia for 18 years. When her partner, Raymond McKay Jr. JD, CPA retired at the end of 2019, Fulmer was a sole practitioner before joining BPS.

Amos is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), holding both distinctions in the State of South Carolina. She is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. The South Carolina Bar has hosted Amos as a featured speaker as part of its Hot Tips and Court Bench Seminars. A native of Columbia, South Carolina, she earned a B.S. in Accounting from Newberry College.
