Nephron nebulizer showcased at health care conference

A portable nebulizer created by Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corp. made its health care industry debut during the Premier Inc.’s 2018 Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition in Nashville, Tenn. earlier this month.

The annual event, in its 10th year, recognizes industry advancements and highlights innovative suppliers.

The Pocket Neb, available by prescription, is a portable vibrating mesh nebulizer that provides aerosol drug delivery to patients with respiratory conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Alkire, Premier COO, said in a news release. “These innovations can truly benefit providers in our shared work to transform health care.”

The rechargeable device features a micro-pump design with 4,000 micro holes that allows for 98% delivery of medication in both on-demand and continuous operations.
