CVS Health’s retail medical clinic, MinuteClinic, is now offering video visits in South Carolina. Patients age 2 and older with minor illnesses and injuries and skin conditions can seek care through the telehealth function.
MinuteClinic video visits will provide care seven days a week, 24 hours a day, from patients’ computers or mobile devices, according to a news release. The visits cost $59, payable by credit, debit, flexible spending account and health savings account cards. Insurance coverage will be added in the coming months, according to the release.
Patients will complete a health questionnaire and be matched to a board-certified health care provider licensed in the state. The provider will submit any necessary prescriptions to the patient’s preferred pharmacy and recommend a community health care provider for any follow-up visits.
More information is available online.
The video visits, introduced in August 2018, are now available in 32 states.
“This new MinuteClinic service demonstrates our commitment to delivering high-quality care when and where our patients need it, at prices they can afford,” said Sharon Vitti, MinuteClinic president, in the release.
