Donation to benefit MTC welding program
A $10,000 donation from Dominion Energy will be used to buy 5 welding machines for students to learn advanced welding processes, MTC said.
4 S.C. schools earn National Blue Ribbon honors
The 4 South Carolina 2019 National Blue Ribbon Schools are in Lexington, Spartanburg, Horry and Anderson counties. They were recognized as exemplary high performing schools as measured by national tests and state assessments.
S.C. districts receiving 205 new school resource officers
The state's 81 public school districts, as well as charter schools, will receive funds approved by the General Assembly to add 1 to 4 officers, depending on need, according to the S.C. Department of Education.
